“Director Compensation:
The Best Buy in Corporate America”
|
Compensation for independent Board members has been
described as one of the best values in America. As the
roles, responsibilities and risks associated with Board
service have increased significantly since the passage
of Sarbanes-Oxley, so has pay.
From a recently completed review of board pay of the top
1000 companies in the U.S., the findings of pay levels,
trends and the impact of the new SEC proxy disclosure
rules will be discussed and the following issues
addressed:
|
|
· |
Setting
board pay levels |
|
· |
Design
of the plan |
|
· |
Share
ownership requirements |
|
· |
Performance-based pay |
|
NACD NY is pleased to announce that all
registered attendees of our next luncheon
program: “Director Compensation: The Best Buy
in Corporate America” will receive a copy of the
2006 Steven Hall & Partners study on Board
Remuneration. The completion of this study
coincides with the timing of our program, so
attendees will be among the first to receive
it. The value of such a study far exceeds the
cost to attend the program, so we are thankful
that it has been made available to our program
attendees. Seating is expected to be limited
for this event, so please take the time to
register today.
